For What It’s Worth
Weed is great, weed is healing,
Oh it has become so appealing.
But have you ever thought… is it just pause?
A moment to escape your true cause?
Is it keeping the smile in place,
Long enough to hide the trace
of your feelings buried deep inside,
The ones you run from, try to hide?
Maybe weed keeps you from dealing,
From facing truths that need revealing?
Perhaps it’s just a fleeting way
To keep pushing pain back another day?
It can offer brief relief,
But also deepen hidden grief.
Weed may soothe and ease the strain,
But true healing comes from facing pain.
Is this a crutch, or a guide,
A veil that keeps the truth sidelined.
Weed will help when used with care,
But be aware of why and where.
When used with mindful grace,
Weed can soothe and help you find your place.
It calms the soul, clears the mind,
Helps to leave some stress behind.
In those moments, calm and clear,
It aids your thoughts, draws them near.
Not to hide, but enhance,
A space deeper, thoughtful trance.
But be honest are you staying true to you?
listening to hear your heart’s quiet cue?
Or do you stray, forget what's real,
And numb the things that you need to feel?
